What's up with all the fast-food donburi out there? A decade ago, Yoshinoya had the American donburi market to itself, but today, it seems like every fast food establishment except McDonalds has some kind of "bowl" lunch. (Donburi is not only the dish, but the name of the bowl in which its served.) Here's a list of some menu items found on the internet:
Jack in the Box Teriyaki Bowl (they also have a breakfast bowl)
Carl's Jr. Lo Carb Breakfast Bowl
What we need to see, if it doesn't exist are kebab bowls on steamed rice. Already, the regular kebab you get is meat on a pile of rice, with a charred tomato and maybe some raw onion. They should just do the same thing, but in a bowl, and maybe half a charred tomato, and with 1/4 cup of broth.
